Therapie
Art and music therapy helps many seriously ill children in Swiss hosiptals express their fears and pain in other ways than with words. This facilitates and speeds up recovry. Experienced therapists manage the workshops for music, painting, dance and pantomime according to the age and abilities of children suffering from serious illnesses or injuries from accidents.
Although the therapies are acknowledged by specialists, they are not paid for by health insurances, and the hospitals receive no contributions for them. Therefore, they depend on private funding.
The Art-Therapie foundation was founded by six Swiss hospitals in 2008. The objective of this non-profit organization is collecting donations to enable as many children, newborns ans teens in hospitals as possible to participate in art and music therapy.
Teenage Cancer Trust
Each day in the UK, 6 teenagers are diagnosed with cancer - that is over 2,000 new cases every year.
Teenage Cancer Trust is a UK-based charity helping young adults with cancer. This charity was chosen by Terry Young, president of The International Petula Clark Society, which is Petula's officially endorsed worldwide fan organization and his wife Lorraine, in memory of their son Laurence, who lost his brave battle to this disease.

Operation Music Aid
Operation Music Aid is a registered non-profit organization in the USA, helping thousands of men and women who have been wounded while serving their country. The organization secures musical instruments of all types to help them with their physical and psychological rehabilitation and to let them know that they are not forgotten. Keyboards, guitars and other musical instruments are provided to military hospitals worldwide for these wounded heroes.
